Alkalinity Control is a concentrated liquid alkaline compound. It is used in conjunction with Hardness Control for the prevention of scale and corrosion in low and high-pressure boiler systems.
Alkalinity Control is added to the boiler water to maintain an optimum alkalinity level to prevent corrosion. Under these conditions, calcium, and magnesium hardness salts cannot form and the precipitate can be removed by blow-down.
